to lead our pre-sales marketing function. We are looking for a collaborative, innovative sales leader to bring creative firepower and strategic thinking to our sales efforts. In today’s competitive direct sales digital media landscape, this pre-sales marketing role is critical to driving revenue. You will oversee our media pre-sale function from shaping our presence at industry events and driving targeted prospecting in key growth categories to overseeing best-in-class RFP responses and proactive pitches. Your ultimate goal is to equip our sales team with the stories, tools, and materials they need to win. In this "player-coach" role, you will architect compelling, creative, and data-driven narratives for our clients. You’ll spend ~30% of your time on hands-on storytelling and pitch shaping, especially for marquee clients and new offerings. We’re seeking a high-performing leader who is passionate about both setting strategy and hands-on execution. You will lead and mentor a small team of marketing professionals while personally shaping our most important pitches and proposals. We need a category-cracking sales marketing leader ready to join a high-performing, creative and curious team that loves to win. What You'll Do

Team Leadership & Mentorship Lead, manage, and mentor a team of two pre-sales marketing professionals (Manager and Specialist), fostering their growth and ensuring high-quality output. Establish the strategy, priorities, and operational rhythm for the pre-sales team to optimize for creativity, quality, and speed. Act as a hands-on "player-coach," personally writing and concepting high-priority pitches and providing creative direction on all materials. RFP & Proactive Pitching Excellence Partner with VP media go-to-market and VP media sales to identify and pursue new client opportunities in our growth categories. Oversee the entire RFP response process, from intake to delivery, with a focus on strategic storytelling and increasing our win rate. Champion a proactive and creative culture focused on generating new news for our sales people, including quarterly proactive pitches, collaborations with News & Insights, and large integrated programs with Marketing. Serve as the lead media storyteller, transforming data, insights, and product capabilities into persuasive narratives that solve client challenges. Go-to-Market Strategy & Collaboration Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Creative Studio teams to lead the GTM strategy for new media product launches including video and annual special projects, ensuring the value proposition is clear and compelling. Lead the development of foundational sales materials, including the general presentation, category-specific narratives, and case studies. Market Intelligence & Events Leverage media research tools (e.g., Comscore, MRI Simmons, primary research) to uncover insights that strengthen our market position and inform pitches. Supervise our annual primary research project from concepting through fielding to going live with our prospects and clients. Oversee the strategy and execution for sales events, client hospitality, and targeted gifting to deepen relationships with key prospects and clients. Evaluate and report on the success of pre-sales initiatives, tying efforts directly to revenue goals and client acquisition. How We Work We balance creativity and innovation on a foundation of in-person collaboration. For most roles, our employees work three or more days in our offices, where they have the opportunity to collaborate in-person, adding richness to our culture and knitting us closer together.
