ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking an experienced
NP or PA
to provide care at a hospital in Upstate, NY in their
Level III NICU . This is a long-term locum opportunity offering a 7 days on / 7 days off schedule with 12-hour shifts, supporting a collaborative neonatology team and working within a 16-bed NICU. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing patients independently and performing advanced neonatal procedures. Dates / Schedule

Travel costs covered: flight, hotel, rental car
Job Details / Responsibilities
Level III NICU, 16-bed unit (average 8 9 patients/day)
Support from 3 neonatologists (daytime presence + 24/7 on-call) and NICU RNs
Average admissions: 0 2 per shift
C-section attendance required
Well-baby coverage required
(night shift only)
No transport requirements
regional Level IV NICU handles transfers (5 mins away)

Required Skills & Procedures
Ventilation management (invasive: ETT; non-invasive: BiPAP/CPAP)
Chest tube insertion
Exchange transfusions
UAC/UVC placement, LPs
Central and arterial line insertion
Diagnostic and therapeutic taps
Evaluation and management of acute volume/BP issues
Qualifications
Board Certified
Neonatology or experienced NICU PA (Required)
Active NY License
(Required)
Proven ability to manage patients independently (Required)
Comfortable with full NICU scope of practice and required procedures
