Job Summary
This role offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your skills and experience in magnetic resonance imaging. As a MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing imaging procedures at a technical level, meeting the qualifications to provide care for patients in the specific age range on their assigned clinical area. The successful candidate will possess knowledge of the magnetic resonance imaging process and safety in the magnetic resonance environment. They will provide protection to patients and personnel in accordance with prescribed safety standards. A key aspect of this role is preparing and positioning patients for magnetic resonance procedures, thoroughly explaining exams and answering patients' questions. Additionally, the ideal candidate will perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures, including neuro, body, and extremity, following protocols set by a radiologist. Other responsibilities include performing venous access on all patients requiring IV contrast administration as directed by a radiologist, entering necessary data into radiology imaging systems, and processing images as necessary. Key qualifications for this position include certification as a Radiology Technologist - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Certified MRI Technologist - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), and Basic Life Support Certification. This role requires one of the following certifications: American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT), Nuclear Medicine Technologist and Certification Board (NMTCB), or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT). New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registry or primary ARRT-MR or NMTCB or ARMRIT prior to first day of employment. Applicants hired after March 10, 2024, must complete steps required for advancing to level 2 within 24 months.
