Status: Full-time, Exempt
Role Summary
Is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the church including the implementation of operating plans, procedures, and programs that support the church’s vision along with the oversight of the senior staff. Will work closely with the Lead Pastor to develop and implement the overall vision and strategy to lead Thanksgiving Church. Sets objectives and monitors results of each ministry and department to ensure goals are accomplished and healthy growth continues.

Competency
Knowledge, skills, and attributes:
• A bachelor’s degree or 10 years of administrative and supervisory job experience is required. Majoring in business administration, finance and accounting or in a related field is desirable.
• Management experience in a secular setting is desirable, with additional churchrelated management a plus.
• Experience in organizational management, with solid administrative and supervisory skills.
• Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability in decision making, problem solving, and process thinking.
• Proficiency in meeting task deadlines/timelines.
• Must be able to work professionally with individuals and teams and have strong organizational, motivational and administrative skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Must be able to develop leaders and share substantial parts of the work with volunteers.
• Proficiency in team building and coaching skills.
• Good judgment in business and personal matters and be able to respect confidential information.
• Knowledge of finance and accounting principles is desired.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead Thanksgiving Church in the day-to-day operations of the organization.
• Assist the Lead Pastor and Executive Congregation Council in leading Thanksgiving Church in a manner consistent with its mission, vision, and values.
• Provide training and visionary leadership for effective ministry.
• To be involved in strategic leadership and mentoring of staff and emerging leaders.
• Oversee the documentation of policies and procedures and provide oversight of the systems for ministry effectiveness.
• Ensure that all staff and volunteers are trained and equipped for ministry.
• Represent Thanksgiving Church to the community and other churches as God provides opportunities.
