About the job
At Google, we follow a simple but vital premise: "Focus on the user and all else will follow." Google’s Interaction Designers take complex tasks and make them intuitive and easy-to-use for billions of people around the globe. Throughout the design process—from creating user flows and wireframes to building user interface mockups and prototypes—you’ll envision how people will experience our products, and bring that vision to life in a way that feels inspired, refined, and even magical. Google User Experience (UX) is made up of multi-disciplinary teams of UX Designers, Researchers, Writers, Content Strategists, Program Managers, and Engineers. We care deeply about the people who use our products. The UX team gathers insights about attitudes, emotions, and behaviors to inspire and inform design. We collaborate with engineering and product management to create industry-leading products that deliver value for users and for Google’s businesses. As a UX Designer on the Google Ads Advertiser Platform team, you will address industry issues by defining the collaborative relationship between advertisers of all sizes and an increasingly intelligent, automated Google Ads. Google Ads powers the open internet with technology that connects and creates value for people, publishers, advertisers, and Google. We build advertising products across search, display, shopping, travel, and video, plus analytics, to deliver useful ads and support growth for businesses of all sizes. We enable Google to engage with customers at scale and provide effective advertiser tools that deliver measurable results. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $110,000-$157,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Your recruiter can share the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Compensation details reflect base salary and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Responsibilities
Define the user experience strategy for your product area by understanding advertiser needs, business goals, and technical constraints. Partner with teams across Google Ads to understand the broader ecosystem, using a system-level view to inform your design strategy. Translate that strategy into concrete ideas, creating and testing concepts in collaboration with user research and content design. Collaborate with product managers and engineers to align on shared goals and make collective decisions. Produce detailed designs and guide the engineering team during development to ensure a high standard of quality. Google is proud to be an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer. We are committed to building a workforce representative of the users we serve, providing equal employment opportunity regardless of race, creed, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, national origin, disability, age, genetic information, veteran status, marital status, pregnancy or related conditions, or any other basis protected by law. See also Google's EEO Policy and related resources. Google is a global company and, to facilitate efficient collaboration globally, English proficiency is a requirement for all roles unless stated otherwise in the job posting. To all recruitment agencies: Google does not accept agency resumes. Please do not forward resumes to our jobs alias or to Google employees. We are not responsible for any fees related to unsolicited resumes.
