Overview This is a remote position but there will be meetings onsite in NYC a few times each month. Candidates must live close enough to attend these meetings.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Business Analyst

to join our team. This role will work closely with the Project Manager to engage directly with users and stakeholders, define and document requirements, and validate business processes to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of analytical thinking, communication skills, and technical proficiency to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Project Manager, stakeholders, and end users to gather, analyze, and document detailed business requirements.

Map and validate current and future-state business processes to ensure efficiency and alignment with business goals.

Translate requirements into functional specifications and workflows that can be used by development and QA teams.

Support project planning activities, including scheduling, progress tracking, and risk identification.

Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations to drive clarity and alignment among business and technical teams.

Ensure proper documentation and traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Partner with QA to validate solutions against requirements, assisting with test case design and execution when necessary.

Required Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a related role, working closely with project managers and stakeholders.

Strong proficiency in MS Visio or Lucidchart

for process mapping and workflow design.

Hands-on experience with MS Project

for scheduling and project tracking.

Familiarity with Jira

or similar tools for managing requirements, user stories, and issue tracking.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences alike.
