Job Title: Senior Project Financial Analyst
Location:
Washington, DC (2 days a week in office)

About the Role
As a
Senior Project Financial Analyst , you will be a critical player in driving the financial health of our government contracts portfolio. Leveraging your expertise in Deltek Costpoint and your deep understanding of federal acquisition regulations, you’ll partner with project managers, finance, and compliance teams to provide actionable insights, precise forecasting, and full lifecycle project financial management.
Core Responsibilities
Project Performance Monitoring:
Track and analyze project budgets, actuals, and forecasts across multiple contract types (CPFF, FFP, T&M)
Deltek Costpoint Management:
Maintain and validate Costpoint project setups, revenue recognition, and indirect rate applications
Variance & Trend Analysis:
Perform regular EAC (Estimate at Completion) reviews and variance analyses to support portfolio decision-making
Compliance & Audit Support:
Ensure adherence to DCAA standards and prepare supporting documentation for audits and contract reviews
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Liaise with PMs, Contracts, Accounting, and FP&A teams to ensure financial alignment and transparency
Reporting:
Develop and deliver customized financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for executive leadership
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred)
5–7+ years of experience in project finance within a government contracting environment
Proficiency with
Deltek Costpoint
(must-have)
In-depth understanding of FAR, CAS, and DCAA audit principles
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, modeling)
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and meet tight deadlines
Nice-to-Have
Experience with project control tools (e.g., Cobra, wInsight)
Knowledge of Unanet or other ERP/reporting platforms
PMP or CPA certification
