We are seeking a detail-oriented
Project Engineer
to join the Construction Management team overseeing a major
hospital rehabilititaion and renovation project
on behalf of the State of New York. Client is OGS Office of General Services.

Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented
Project Engineer
to join the Construction Management team overseeing a major
hospital rehabilititaion and renovation project
on behalf of the State of New York. Client is OGS Office of General Services. The Project Engineer will assist the Project Manager in monitoring contractor performance, reviewing technical submittals, and ensuring that construction activities comply with project documents, healthcare regulations, and state requirements. This role requires strong technical and organizational skills to support the CM team in delivering a complex project safely, on time, and within budget. Key Responsibilities Support the CM team in overseeing day-to-day construction activities performed by the General Contractor and subcontractors. Review
RFIs, submittals, and change orders
for compliance with contract documents. Assist in monitoring project schedules, look-aheads, and critical path activities. Participate in site walks to document progress, quality, and adherence to hospital protocols (infection control, safety, noise, and phasing). Track and maintain logs of design clarifications, drawing revisions, and field directives. Support review of pay applications, change order proposals, and cost tracking. Prepare reports, meeting minutes , and other documentation for State review. Coordinate with architects, engineers,
and State stakeholders to facilitate timely decision-making.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). years of construction exp 6 to 8 years construction experience ; healthcare or public-sector project experience preferred. Familiarity with New York State OGS design and construction requirements a plus. Strong understanding of drawings, specifications, and MEP coordination. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction/project management software (Procore, Primavera, Bluebeam, or similar). We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a positive work environment Compensation: Min $80,000 to $110,000 The range provided is the salary that the Firm in good faith believes at the time of this posting is willing to pay for the advertised position. Exact compensation will be determined on the individual candidates’ qualifications and location
