: Richmond State Hospital is about the people we serve and the community relationships we have developed dating back to 1890. It is a public behavioral health facility operated by the state of Indiana and one of six state psychiatric hospitals within the Family and Social Services Administration Division of Mental Health and Addiction. As part of a newly integrated system, we serve consumers across the state as the Eastern Center of Excellence in Mental Health and Addiction Services.

Nestled in northwestern Richmond, our campus provides a peaceful environment. Richmond State Hospital provides individual psychotherapy, group therapy, chaplain services, family therapy and education, psych-education groups, rehabilitation therapies, and patient employment opportunities. Our unit-based programming is supplemented with campus-wide specialty groups. We are a leader in evidenced-based medication prescribing to reduce polypharmacy risks and optimize outcomes. Our clinical and medical leadership collaborate closely with treatment teams to deliver comprehensive care. Salary Statement

: The salary for this position typically starts at $193,102.00 but may be adjusted based on education and experience. A Day in the Life:

The essential functions include: Prescribing and administering primary psychiatric care, including assessments, medication management, and patient/family education. Leading treatment teams and providing clinical direction for treatment plans. Gathering and maintaining patient records, including social and medical histories. Collaborating with healthcare professionals to discuss treatment progress and plans. Analyzing patient data to diagnose mental health conditions. Participating in continuing education to stay current in the field. Serving on hospital committees and contributing your expertise. Candidates must meet the following: Board-Certified in General Psychiatry (MD/DO). Completed an accredited Psychiatry residency. Licensed to practice medicine in Indiana. Knowledge of diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of mental health disorders. Understanding of human behavior and psychological research methods. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with patients and teams. Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:

Supervisory duties may be assigned based on agency needs.
