New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) seeks an experienced and innovative financial leader to serve as its next Senior Vice President for Finance and Chief Financial Officer (SVP-CFO). This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of NJIT by guiding its financial strategy, supporting the implementation of a new decentralized budget model, and aligning resources with the ambitious goals of the NJIT Strategic Plan 2030. The SVP-CFO will be part of the senior leadership team, reporting directly to the President and working with the Board of Trustees to support fiscal health and growth objectives. Key Responsibilities

Oversee a portfolio of $809 million and an endowment valued at $167 million, providing strategic financial leadership to support NJIT’s mission and strategic plan. Collaborate with senior academic and administrative leadership and the Board of Trustees to provide strategic advice that supports fiscal health and growth objectives. Support and staff the Board of Trustees' Finance and Audit Committee, Foundation Board of Directors Audit and Finance Committee, NJIT Joint Investment Committee, and the University Senate Committee on Finance. Lead and implement organizational change, including the rollout of a new decentralized budget model, and advocate for and bolster university services while managing complex and intersecting priorities. Qualifications and Skills

Distinguished record of senior leadership in finance and administration, preferably in higher education or a similarly complex organizational setting. Excellent communication and analytical abilities; a collaborator who supports calculated risk, innovation, and inclusive decision-making that advances student success and best practices. Experience with change management and the ability to motivate and lead across diverse stakeholders while maintaining forward momentum. Ability to partner with the president and senior leadership to implement an ambitious strategic plan in today’s challenging higher education environment. Selection Process and Contact
