Overview
NorthBay Health is seeking a Board-Certified, Licensed OB/GYN Physician to provide high-quality, compassionate obstetric and gynecological care in a balanced role that includes both outpatient clinic responsibilities and inpatient care, such as labor and delivery. Position Type:
Full-time; designated clinic and surgery block time Duties:
Combination of outpatient clinic and inpatient responsibilities. Call Schedule:
Shared call rotation with other OB/GYN team members. EMR:
Cerner Provider Support: Collaborative team of Physicians and Advanced Practice Professionals Additional Requirements:
Some weekend and holiday shifts as part of the call rotation. Outpatient Clinic Duties
Conduct routine gynecological exams, prenatal, and postnatal care. Diagnose and manage gynecologic conditions (e.g., menstrual irregularities, hormonal imbalances, infections). Provide patient counseling and education on reproductive health, contraception, and family planning. Perform outpatient procedures as needed (e.g., colposcopies, biopsies, IUD placements). Collaborate with other healthcare professionals (e.g., midwives, nurse practitioners) to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to clinic documentation policies. Inpatient Duties
Manage labor and delivery cases, including both routine and high-risk pregnancies. Conduct obstetric procedures, such as vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and emergency interventions. Provide inpatient care for gynecologic surgeries and other procedures (e.g., hysterectomies, laparoscopies). Collaborate with labor and delivery staff to ensure safe and efficient patient care. Participate in hospital rounds and coordinate transitions from inpatient to outpatient care. Provide consultation and on-call coverage on a rotating schedule. Qualifications
Education:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited medical school. Training:
Completion of an accredited OB/GYN residency program. Certification:
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Licensure:
Valid and active medical license in California. Certifications:
BLS and ACLS required; NRP preferred. Experience:
At least one (1) year of experience preferred, though recent residency graduates will also be considered. Skills:
Strong clinical and surgical skills in obstetrics and gynecology. Excellent communication skills for patient education. Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and general computer skills. Ability to handle high-stress situations, especially during labor and deliver
