Description: Summary The Forklift Technical Trainer is responsible for delivering high-quality technical training programs for forklift equipment to internal employees and external customers. This role ensures that technicians, operators, and related staff are trained in safe, efficient, and compliant operation, maintenance, and repair practices in accordance with OSHA, ANSI, and manufacturer standards. Essential Duties: Training Delivery Conduct classroom and hands-on training on forklift operation, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair. Deliver operator certification courses compliant with OSHA 1910.178 and industry standards. Facilitate refresher training, product updates, and onboarding courses for new hires. Train customers and technicians in equipment usage, safety, and care. Curriculum Development Develop and update training materials, manuals, SOPs, and presentations based on OEM content and internal needs. Customize training for various equipment types: electric forklifts, IC forklifts, telehandlers, pallet jacks, etc. Evaluation & Certification Assess trainee performance through written exams, practical demonstrations, and observation. Issue operator or technician certifications upon successful completion. Maintain accurate training records and certification logs in compliance with internal and OSHA guidelines. Safety & Compliance Promote and reinforce a culture of safety-first in all training environments. Ensure training meets or exceeds regulatory requirements (OSHA, ANSI, state/local laws). Assist with safety audits and incident investigations as needed. Program Improvement & Support Gather and analyze trainee feedback to continuously improve training quality. Assist in creating technical career paths for field and shop technicians. Support field service operations with real-time training when needed (ride-alongs, troubleshooting coaching). Requirements:

Required: 57 years of hands-on technical experience with forklifts or industrial equipment Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills Familiarity with OSHA forklift regulations and safety standards Valid drivers license and ability to travel (regional, ~2550%) Preferred: Prior experience as a technical trainer or lead technician Train-the-Trainer certification (e.g., OSHA, manufacturer/OEM, internal) OEM certifications from major brands (Toyota, Hyster-Yale, Crown, Cat, etc.) Experience with LMS or digital training tools (e.g., SAP Litmos, Moodle) TRI PI073bb6b41fda-29952-38682014
