The successful candidate will mediate the link between the local school districts and the state Department of Education, acting as both collaborator and monitor. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Provides guidance on the teacher certification process to school districts and applicants Processes NJEdCert substitute credential applications and emergency certificate applications Receives official college transcripts for evaluation while maintaining educator confidentiality Addresses inquiries by phone and e-mail in a timely fashion Reviews NJDOE regulatory code to assist school districts with compliance Distributes regular NJDOE reports and broadcasts to school districts Conveys feedback from school districts, applicants, and the public to the NJDOE in a professional manner Aligns New Jersey SMART data with district reporting to ensure employees are properly certified and assigned Maintains and organizes confidential files Assists with other duties of the Education Office as needed Qualifications
Excellent communication/telephone skills Highly organized and self-motivated Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced office environment Has respect and sensitivity for the importance of confidentiality Proficient with Microsoft Word & Excel Salesforce program experience is a plus County of Morris makes all efforts to complete the application accessible to any and all users.
