We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate across AWS to deliver high safety and security standards while providing capacity at the lowest possible cost. You will deliver water sustainability projects for AWS Infrastructure in US West regions, executing multiple water infrastructure development projects, monitoring operational efficiency metrics, and building system resiliency after project hand-off to regional operations teams. You will be the central point of contact for all issues pertaining to water and wastewater treatment and disinfection systems and for managing relationships with utilities. Plan and implement water and wastewater infrastructure projects that support water delivery to data centers Manage utility system contracts and connection agreements for domestic, fire, and cooling water supply Engineer, implement, and monitor water treatment projects; develop scalable designs for regional deployment Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for water systems Coordinate with local utilities to ensure compliance with federal, state, and municipal requirements Track system reliability and maintain water supply resiliency for data center cooling Develop and implement water sustainability initiatives Oversee installation, testing, and maintenance of water treatment equipment Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, operations, real estate, EHS) to develop solutions in areas with limited infrastructure Travel up to 25% as needed for project execution where authorized About the team

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical/Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Water Resources Planning (Planning degrees encouraged) 5+ years of experience building relationships with utilities and negotiating contractual terms related to water and wastewater capacity and infrastructure development 5+ years of project or program management experience in a fast-scaling environment; experience with water chemistry and conventional/membrane water treatment technologies for industrial applications, especially data centers 5+ years reading and interpreting construction drawings and equipment specifications; ability to carry design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment Fluent in English and Portuguese PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Advanced degree in Chemical/Environmental/Civil Engineering or Water Resources/Infrastructure Planning 8+ years of direct experience with construction, operation, or maintenance of water treatment equipment fleet management Experience with fast-track design/build projects and/or multiple significant upgrade projects 8+ years working with mechanical/plumbing systems related to data centers or similar buildings that use water infrastructure (pumps, cooling towers, evaporative media, heat exchangers, AHUs, or air economizers) 8+ years of project-related experience with local/state government agencies, utilities, site development due diligence, and/or permitting Fluent in Spanish Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay ranges from $105,100/year to $185,000/year, depending on location, knowledge, skills, and experience.
