SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of Brown University Health Supply Chain Logistics Managers, Supply Chain Logistics Lead coordinates activities and functions of the Supply Chain Procedural, Distribution and Central Supply Technicians throughout Brown University Health. Orients, trains, assigns work, maintains work schedules, and evaluates performance of staff in keeping with established policies, procedures, and standards of practice in their respective areas of responsibility. Participates in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, process improvements and budgets for the assigned Supply Chain area. RESPONSIBILITIES:
; color: windowtextPRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ; color: windowtext· Responsible for high-quality employee training, directly and through delegation and shadowing other employees · Manages inventory of supplies in the department; monitors usage trends, maintains par forms, and assist with recalls, backorders, and substitute products. color: windowtext text-align: justify· Collaborates with Supply Chain Procurement and/or suppliers to coordinate delivery of supplies and equipment. text-align: justify· Coordinates priority and/or special-order requests for supplies and equipment as needed. text-align: justify· Runs and works various daily and periodic reports. Prepares and maintains records, files, and requisitions. text-align: justify· Assists employees with prioritization and problem resolution as issues occur, such as authorizing urgent requisitions, accommodating emergency or priority requests, or adjusting assignments text-align: justify· Initiates structured par level and inventory management activities on an at least semi-annual basis for all assigned supply areas. Works with staff and clinical management to adjust. text-align: justify· Participates in the recruitment, retention, performance enhancement, and competency assessment of staff in collaboration with Supply Chain Logistics Manager. Ensures compliance to established standards, policies, and procedures. Provides actionable feedback to employees to promote effective teamwork and satisfaction in the workplace in consultation with Supply Chain Logistics Manager. text-align: justify· Documents and addresses employee concerns related to work performance, attendance, or any other disciplinary problems. Measures beyond verbal communication or for egregious acts will be forwarded to a Supply Chain Logistics Manager for assessment and formal discipline text-align: justify· Regularly performs duties of employees to assist with workloads. text-align: justify· Responsible for technical, policy, and procedure, and communication training for assigned areas. text-align: justify· Participates in yearly audit and inventory.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
; color: windowtextBASIC KNOWLEDGE:p 2= text-align: justifyHigh School Diploma or equivalent required and a minimum of 4 years of experience in related healthcare or warehouse field.p 2= text-align: justifyBasic knowledge of medical terminology, aseptic techniques, and inventory management. A high level of interpersonal skills to effectively represent Brown University Health and Supply Chain in interaction with all levels of personnel within and outside the organization. ; color: windowtextProficient in Microsoft Office tools and ability to learn necessary supporting information system. ; color: windowtextWORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Sits, stands, and walks intermittently throughout the day.
