2nd Shift Part Time Warehouse Material Handler

Locations: Norfolk

Pay Range: $17.40 - $18.40 Hourly, depending on experience

Schedule: 2nd shift, 4:00 PM start time

Responsibilities

• Retrieves and places quantities of Cases of Product onto a pre-determined pallet as instructed by the assigned Pick Ticket, ensuring safety and a stable pallet while meeting safety, accuracy, and efficiency expectations.
• Travels to and transports pallets of stacked product to different areas of the Warehouse via a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) - Pallet Jack - in a safe and efficient manner.
• Assists in warehouse cleanliness and housekeeping as assigned or needed.
• Performs daily PIT Checklist and reports any issues to Warehouse Management.
• Corrects any mistakes discovered and communicated by the Checker regarding product and/or quantity.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as directed to support efficient warehouse operations in a dynamic environment.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, walking and repetitively lifting up to 30 lbs, with capability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Team collaboration and ability to coordinate efficient warehouse processes.
• Adaptability to different work areas and ability to read and interpret computer screen instructions.
• Attention to detail and the ability to differentiate packages.
• Ability to work in a noisy, non-climate-controlled environment (hot in summer, cold in winter).
• Self-starter attitude with initiative and ability to find value-add opportunities.
• Flexibility with schedules and hours to meet business demands.

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge acquired through up to 12 months of work experience.
• PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) Certification: Pallet Jack.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge acquired through up to 12 months of work experience.
• PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) Certification: Pallet Jack.

Work Environment

• Noisy and non-temperature-controlled environment (hot in summer, cold in winter).
