Overview
Hunt Electric, Inc. is looking for a full-time experienced and self-motivated Heavy Equipment Operator to build roadway projects, street lighting, underground utilities, and electrical and communication systems. A qualified individual will also be responsible for setting vaults and performing light concrete work, including pole foundations.
Responsibilities
- Operate excavators, loaders, digger derricks, and other construction equipment.
- Install underground conduit, boxes, vaults, rebar, and pour concrete using light, medium, and heavy tools.
- Perform excavation, civil construction, and work with underground utilities while staying aware of existing utilities.
- Dig trenches and work around underground utilities.
- Collaborate effectively within a team to support all aspects of underground utilities and excavation.
- Handle basic construction tasks and tools, including shovels, sledgehammers, and concrete tools.
- Lay and glue conduit as required.
- Perform a variety of tasks including manual labor as needed.
- Maintains a valid driver’s license (minimum 1 year) and a clean driving record.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Actively contribute to a positive team environment and demonstrate dependability with regular attendance and compliant work hours.
- Perform other duties or locations as assigned by Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
- Class A CDL with no restrictions.
- Experience with installation of electrical or dry utilities.
- Concrete experience is a plus.

Work Schedule
This is a full-time position with a typical schedule of Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am – 4:30 pm, and Friday 7:00 am – 2:00 pm.
