Role: Field Service Electrician in the Parts and Service division, part of the Joy Global Surface Mining family. You will leverage technical expertise and problem-solving skills to ensure reliable and efficient operations for customers across the nation. As a member of the Field Service business unit, you will work in a dynamic environment with opportunities to contribute to service excellence.

About the Role

As a Field Service Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components on mining equipment and machinery. Your primary focus will be on delivering top-notch service to customers, ensuring equipment is safe, reliable, and performing at optimal levels. This role involves travel to various job sites, working independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on complex systems in the field.
• Install and configure electrical components and systems in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance to improve equipment performance and reliability.
• Document service work and maintain accurate and timely reports on job status and completed tasks.
• Provide exceptional customer service, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to address complex problems and implement effective solutions.
• Stay current with industry trends, technology, and best practices to enhance personal and team performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electrical systems or equivalent experience preferred.
• Proven experience in industrial electrical systems, especially in a field service capacity.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations.
• Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with a focus on customer service.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
