Dock Master (800 Ton Dry Dock)

• Location: Pensacola, FL
• Full time, Direct Hire opportunity
• Salary: $70,000 – $95,000 per year, based on experience
• Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance, PTO & holidays

Seeking an experienced Dry Dock Master to lead vessel docking and undocking operations on an 800-ton floating dry dock. This role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership, and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise vessel docking/undocking operations.
• Operate and oversee dry dock ballast systems.
• Conduct safety briefings, risk assessments, and maintain records.
• Ensure compliance with USCG, ABS, and OSHA standards.
• Lead and train dock crew members.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of shipyard or marine operations experience.
• 2+ years direct docking/undocking experience (500+ ton vessels).
• Dry Dock Master/Docking Officer training (preferred).
• Knowledge of vessel stability and hydrostatics.
• Merchant Mariner Credential (preferred).
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. – Sponsorship cannot be provided now or in the future
