Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for ensuring Commercial and Residential Roofing Projects are properly assessed, scoped, ordered, and built to local codes and warranty standards. The ideal candidate pays attention to detail, is a hard worker, punctual, reliable, and can follow directions.
Position Overview:
This is a field Production Assistant role supporting the production department. You will assist the production manager in ensuring efficient project execution, monitoring installations, coordinating with crews and homeowners, and delivering materials.
Physical Requirements:
This role involves some heavy lifting, climbing ladders, accessing roofs, and running materials to crews.
Work Schedule and Benefits:
This is a full-time position, primarily Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday hours for special occasions. We offer excellent benefits and opportunities for advancement as the company grows.
Qualifications:
Valid Driver's License and a good driving record are required. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Commercial and Residential Production Managers and team to ensure proper job execution.
- Interpret roof take-offs accurately and assist in building replacement scopes for material ordering.
- Walk all jobs with crews prior to starting to communicate project details effectively.
- Assist in managing on-site installations to ensure quality standards.
- Monitor crews to ensure proper installation and repair techniques.
- Conduct on-site inspections to maintain cleanliness, safety, efficiency, and productivity.
- Communicate with commercial tenants or owners during active builds as needed.
- Stay current on roofing products and installation techniques.
- Obtain certifications from manufacturers when available.
- Follow safety requirements for all sites; OSHA certification is a plus.
