PGS Worldwide is hiring: Manufacturing Engineer in Redondo Beach

PGS Worldwide is actively seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to support aerospace and defense programs in Redondo Beach, CA. This is a 1-year contract-to-hire opportunity offering the chance to contribute to mission-critical work within a leading-edge environment.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 3+ years of engineering experience, preferably in manufacturing or aerospace/defense
• Strong background in manufacturing processes, production layouts, and equipment installation
• Experience designing sequences of operations and fabrication procedures
• Ability to develop and maintain Manufacturing Bills of Material (MBOM)
• Skilled in developing Visual Work Instructions and assembly instructions using MES

Preferred Skills & Tools:

• Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
• Proficiency with CATIA and SAP
• Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action processes
• Knowledge of statistical process control techniques

Responsibilities:

• Design and improve manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, machining, and material handling
• Adapt machine or equipment designs to factory and production conditions
• Incorporate inspection and test requirements into production plans
• Inspect performance of machinery, equipment, and tools, recommending corrective actions as needed
• Ensure processes and procedures comply with applicable regulations
• Collaborate with engineering teams on design concepts and specifications to optimize manufacturing techniques
• Investigate and resolve production deficiencies to ensure product quality
