Responsibilities

  • Interface with manufacturing and maintenance to resolve welding systems issues; program robots, pedestal welders, and all other welding-related equipment.
  • Assist Quality Assurance in maintaining welding integrity and interface with manufacturing and maintenance to resolve welding and welding systems issues.
  • Train, coach and mentor the welding process for weld engineers, manufacturing and skilled trades colleagues.
  • Direct and/or participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities (e.g. 8D reports, department meetings).

This full-time salary role is part of the Engineering team and reports to the Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in weld engineering/technology from a four-year college or university; five years plus related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Hands-on experience in manual and automated welding processes.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Highly desired skills: specialized knowledge in resistancespot welding.
