Overview

This position, under general supervision, is responsible for performing maintenance service or repairs in one or more skill areas, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, machine servicing, or electrical repairs or installations.

Ensures mechanical or structural integrity of equipment and facilities is maintained as one of the following: welder, fabricator, or plumber. Performs advanced carpentry projects including coordinating the build out of special projects as requested. Assists and ensures all areas are returned to a clean, neat, orderly, and safe condition according to policy and procedure.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance service or repairs in plumbing, carpentry, painting, machine servicing, or electrical repairs or installations under general supervision.
• Maintain mechanical or structural integrity of equipment and facilities as welder, fabricator, or plumber; assist with advanced carpentry projects and coordination of special projects.
• Assist and ensure areas are returned to a clean, neat, orderly, and safe condition per policy.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and listening skills to interpret customer needs.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and assignments.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
