Driver / operator of company vehicles. Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.
Shift Details: This is a PM shift Monday through Friday, approximately 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM.
Minimum Education: High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for the type of vehicle assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and maneuver packages above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
- Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
- Neat appearance required due to customer contact.
- Must meet qualifications outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
- Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
