DHE Transportation is hiring: Linehaul Truck Driver in San Leandro

We are looking for dedicated CDL Class A Local Truck drivers and support staff to join our team. If you're passionate about delivering excellent service and want to be part of a dynamic and supportive work environment, apply and become part of our family.

Linehaul Drivers

Linehaul drivers transport DOUBLES between service centers and primarily conduct meet and turns with drivers from other locations. This is a night shift position that is 100% no-touch. While some trips may require a layover, most shifts begin and end at the home terminal. Bobtail drivers with local delivery experience are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight in a safe and prompt manner
• Interact with clients and customers professionally and courteously with limited supervision
• Comply with Department of Transportation regulations and laws
• Maintain responsibility for safety and security of company equipment and customer goods
• Load and unload trailers and move freight across the terminal dock, with or without mechanical freight handling equipment, as required
• Record quantity and type of shipments using bills of lading, delivery receipts, and tally sheets
• Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations
• Hook and unhook trailers from tractors, including cranking landing gear
• Fuel trucks and tractors
• Perform all other work-related duties as assigned

Compensation and Benefits

Linehaul drivers are paid $0.77 per mile.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license
• Experience in commercial driving and tractor-trailer operation
• Doubles, Tankers, and Hazmat Endorsements
• Ability to operate lift gates
• Familiarity with route driving and loading/unloading procedures
