Description
Purpose of the Position:
Represent and promote Ditch Witch Midwest in a professional and ethical manner to build customer trust and deliver superior service. Drive revenue growth by prospecting new customers, maintaining existing client relationships, and effectively selling the company’s full range of equipment, parts, service, and solutions. Work collaboratively with internal departments to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Essential Functions
- Proactively source and develop new customer relationships and referral opportunities.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all sales and prospecting activity, including calls, presentations, follow-ups, and closed sales.
- Build strong, ongoing relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and increase market share.
- Manage and maintain all company-assigned property including vehicles, electronic devices, and demo equipment.
- Stay up to date on current and new product lines, technical specifications, service bulletins, and manufacturer literature.
- Monitor competitor activity and industry trends including pricing, new product introductions, and market positioning.
- Actively promote and sell service contracts, maintenance plans, and extended warranty programs.
- Cross-sell the full suite of company offerings including parts, labor, and whole goods.
- Attend and participate in trade shows, conferences, sales meetings, and customer events. Occasional overnight travel is required.
- Provide on-site equipment demonstrations and customer training for all products represented by the company.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds as needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), internet navigation, and CRM tools.
- Possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a CDL license and DOT Medical Card (Required).
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Working Conditions and Additional Notes
- Work is performed primarily in the field, requiring regular travel throughout the assigned sales territory.
- Role requires frequent interaction with customers on construction or industrial sites.
