Who We Are:
Conexess is a full-service staffing firm offering contract, contract-to-hire, and direct placements. We have a wide range of recruiting capabilities, from help desk technicians to CIOs. We are also capable of offering project-based work.
This position will be in support of various roles: Day to day customer support, new customer on-boarding, software testing & troubleshooting. The primary job function is to provide application support to an assigned group of customers.
Responsibilities include troubleshooting server OS, assisting IT administration, troubleshooting software and network telecom equipment issues.
In addition, onsite and web meeting customer training support is required.
Work is primarily remote from your home office, at any of the Corporate offices in the US, and also at customer locations.
Candidate should be in the continental United States, preferably within 2 hours of a major airport for travel.
This position could work from one of our corporate offices which are in Concord, CA, Holmdel, NJ, Salem, NH, and Sarasota, FL but is not required. This is primarily a work from home position.
Job Requirements
- Primarily work from home office. Access to a, quiet, home office is required.
- 2 years minimum work experience in telecom, preferably in a NOC environment
- Excellent customer service support
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office software, as well as other communication packages Microsoft Teams, Cisco WebEx, Zoom, BlueJeans, Google Meet, and others utilized daily, with video
- Must be able to provide own PC desktop support
- Must be a self-starter and self-motivated with a strong initiative to learn, exhibit outstanding teamwork, and have excellent communication skills for cross-departmental management
- 5% a year of travel time is expected to your assigned customer sites & Corporate offices
- Understanding and experience with leading telecom equipment
- LINUX/UNIX working knowledge is a plus
- Associate degree or higher in engineering or computer science field
- Knowledge of telephony DWDM/OTN, SONET DS1 thru OC192, SDH, Ethernet, etc from various vendors (Ciena, Nokia, Cisco, Infinera, etc)
- Telecom experience in provisioning, troubleshooting, and overall process development
- Knowledge of TL1, SNMP, CLI, REST, RESTCONF, Netconf/Yang protocols
