Saab, Inc. is looking for a skilled
Assembly Team Lead
to join our dynamic Manufacturing/Production team. If you are experienced, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a diverse team, this role is for you. Responsibilities will include: Interpreting wire diagrams, engineering drawings (blueprints), sketches, and instructions to create initial layouts and accurately assemble products.
Utilizing hand and/or power tools to complete necessary assemblies effectively.
Disassembling, modifying, reworking, reassembling, and prototyping assemblies and subassemblies in accordance with specifications.
Performing solder rework and repair of printed circuit boards (thru-hole and surface mount).
Applying your technical knowledge in electrical and mechanical assembly operations to solve complex issues and achieve company goals.
Following ESD principles and safeguarding practices diligently.
Using hand tools such as torque wrenches and wire cutters correctly and safely.
Identifying and resolving tasks independently with confidence.
Participating actively in process improvement initiatives.
Operating fork trucks, automotive lifts, ladders, lifting platforms, and cranes as required.
Compensation Range:
$52,400 - $62,800 Our compensation range serves as a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers various factors, including the role, location, market conditions, and candidate qualifications. Skills and Experience: Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.
6+ years of relevant experience in assembly operations.
Ability to read and understand work instructions and assembly drawings.
Technical troubleshooting skills for product issues.
General electronic soldering abilities and inspection knowledge.
Capability to work with a variety of materials, ranging from small intricate parts to larger components.
Desired Qualifications: Experience working collaboratively on manufacturing flow lines.
Advanced skills in printed circuit board rework, including conformal coating removal.
Background in automotive mechanics or a related field.
Comfort with operating automated equipment and understanding mechanical assembly processes.
Extensive knowledge of tools, software, and other technologies used in assembly.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Capability to climb stairs to elevated tower platforms.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Willingness to work outdoors when necessary.
