Overview

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist to support our client’s medical facility in Tulsa, OK 74133. This is a 3-month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity.

Job Title: Phlebotomist

Location: Tulsa, OK 74133

Duration: 3 Months+

Pay rate: $19 per hour

Schedule: 8am-5pm M-F

The salary is determined by an individual's level of experience, as well as any relevant licenses and certifications they may hold.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and related specimen collection
• Label specimens, centrifuge specimens, and record maintenance data
• Decontaminate work areas and update patient information
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles
• Understand and follow physician orders; match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders
• Verify test requisitions or computer labels for accuracy
• Package specimens for transport and store samples according to required temperatures

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum 3-5 years of phlebotomy experience required
