Role Summary/Purpose

The Lead Person will assist Plant Leadership in overseeing production activities on the manufacturing floor to ensure on-time delivery. The person in this role works within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

Coordinate all manufacturing activities to assure meeting production schedules and to rotate team members through multiple positions throughout the day for ergonomic benefit.

Coordinate manufacturing activities to assure meeting cost goals while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

Coordinate cross-training of production employees in the various operations.

Coordinate and provide technical, quality and production leadership to production team members.

Provide leadership to continuously improve manufacturing assembly and process for all assigned products/processes.

Perform administrative duties to support the business. Example: coordinate/ensure required labels and forms are available, etc.

Ability to work outside the regular shift hours as required to set up the production line.

Mentor and motivate team in safety, quality and productivity improvements.

Ability to handle diverse activities simultaneously.

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

Ability to communicate effectively and contribute to team projects.

Strong project and team leadership.

Any and all other duties as assigned.
