Job Summary:
We are seeking an Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Data Engineer to join our team, tasked with using advanced database tools like SQL and Python to analyze complex and large datasets related to transactions and customer profiles, aimed at developing and tuning AML controls and monitoring mechanisms. The ideal candidate will create insightful analytics to support our company's BSA/AML program, working across various functions and with third-party vendors to implement scalable and effective solutions. Through in-depth data analysis and developing AML dashboards, the role supports the ongoing improvement of our AML efforts and ensures compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize SQL and Python to query and analyze transaction and customer data for AML control development. Perform statistical analysis to identify potential risks and tune AML monitoring rules. Develop and maintain automated AML dashboards, defining metrics and KPIs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors to enhance AML solutions. Support BSA/AML program reviews, audits, and adherence to policies and procedures.
Must-Have Skills:
Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python. Strong knowledge of BSA/AML regulations and compliance functions (TM, CRR, KYC, CIP). Excellent analytical and project management skills.
Industry Experience Required: Experience in compliance, technology, or other control-related functions within a financial services or fintech firm is required.
