Airswift is looking for a Procurement Manager to support a major client in New Braunfels, TX on a 12-month contract with possibility of converting to full-time

The Procurement Manager will oversee the sourcing and acquisition of goods and services. Develop purchasing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and ensure quality, cost-effective and timely procurement aligned with company goals and policies.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet business objectives.
Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with vendors. Negotiate contracts, Terms and Conditions, deadlines and pricing with vendors and suppliers.
Cost Optimization: Analyze spending patterns and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and legal regulations; manage risks related to supply contracts, and supply chain.
Team Leadership: Manage procurement staff, delegate tasks, and foster a culture of accountability and collaboration. Ensure purchase orders are approved and submitted to vendors.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal departments to align procurement with operational needs, ensuring timely procurement of goods and services. Prepare reports of Procurement activities.
Market Analysis/Research: Stay informed on market and industry trends, pricing structures, and supplier capabilities. Identify potential vendors.
Requirements:
Education Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field Experience
Proven background in managing procurement or supply chain role(s).
Generally, 5+ years of relevant experience in procurement or purchasing roles, with progressive responsibility Negotiation & Contracting Strong skills in vendor negotiation and contract management.
Analytical Thinking Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions, innovative Communication Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Building and maintaining long-term relationships with suppliers and vendors Tech Proficiency
Familiarity with procurement software and Microsoft Office
Leadership Experience managing teams and driving performance. Proven ability to delegate and mentor team members.
