We're looking for a High Voltage Electrician 2 in the Pearland, TX area — a role that will help us power progress for our customers.

Responsibilities

• You'll be based out of our Pearland, TX service center and can expect to work in the field with up to 50 to 75% travel.
• Specialize in working on both low, medium, and high voltage switchgear including breakers with relays, motor starters, VFDs, load break switches, transformers, load banks, and batteries.
• Install fixtures, wiring conduits, motors, and other electrical equipment. Inspect circuits for specified shielding and grounding.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Periodically inspect equipment, and locate and correct problems before breakdowns occur.
• Locate and determine electrical malfunctions using test equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of relevant experience and/or training
• Proven knowledge of the principles of electricity and electrical design
• 8+ years of formal technical training
• 10+ years' experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical switchgear, including both low voltage and medium voltage power distribution gear; knowledge of protection relays and meters
• Positive, self-starter who enjoys working with others in a fast-paced environment to deliver consistent quality
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 50 lbs.
