Shift Start Time: 8:00 AM Shift End Time: 5:00 PM AWS Hours Requirement: 8/40 - 8 Hour Shift Weekend Requirements: No Weekends On-Call Required: No Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum): $24.500 - $29.400 - $34.300 The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual pay rate and pay grade depend on factors such as experience, skills, education, alignment with internal candidates, marketplace factors, and employer practices. What You Will Do

Assists patients, staff and physicians as needed to maintain a high level of operational efficiency and customer service while providing quality care to a designated patient population. Required Qualifications

Certification of completion of a Medical Assistant Program. AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association - REQUIRED Preferred Qualifications

1 Year MA experience in a related clinical area. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - California Certifying Board for Medical Assistants - PREFERRED Hospital Corpsman (HM) - US Navy - PREFERRED Essential Functions

Clinical competencies: Successfully completes Clinical Competencies with a score of 90% or greater in each section. Clinical skills: Demonstrates clinical knowledge and skill in assigned area and within scope of practice; administers medications safely per guidelines; documents and verifies medications with two patient identifiers; assists with tests and procedures; prepares and labels specimens; ensures accurate documentation; collaborates with physicians to expand clinical knowledge; manages patient communications and scheduling as needed. Department duties: Ensures front desk support, scheduling assistance, and adherence to infection control policies; participates in clinical projects as directed; maintains department efficiency. Daily responsibilities: Manages telephone messages, monitors patient flow, and enters authorizations and scheduling in the system; responds to urgent needs calmly; maintains readiness of reports and supplies; travels as needed to meet staffing requirements. Quality initiatives: Completes QA assignments and supports department compliance with quality requirements. Technical skills: Demonstrates knowledge of equipment and information systems; documents patient care events thoroughly; supports AEHR tasks; operates department equipment.
