Position: Paramedic — integral part of the primary care team during ambulance transports. You will provide direct patient care, medical transport, equipment checks and maintenance, station upkeep, housekeeping duties, and other related tasks as needed.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Administer basic and advanced life support treatments within the Paramedic/CCP scope
  • Safely operate and maintain emergency vehicles in compliance with laws
  • Deliver competent patient care in various settings
  • Apply EMS procedures in practical situations
  • Interact professionally with healthcare personnel
  • Document information accurately in our charting system
  • Assist fellow EMS providers and provide comprehensive reports
  • Maintain equipment, ensure cleanliness, and restock supplies
  • Adhere to company and local agency policies and protocols
  • Demonstrate a clean appearance and professional, ethical behavior
  • May be required to administer first aid to injured coworkers when necessary

Physical Demands

  • Must be physically capable of operating vehicles and equipment essential to EMS duties
  • Frequent bending, sitting, kneeling, moving, and lifting patients and equipment weighing at least 125 pounds
  • Ability to push and pull objects exceeding 50 pounds
  • Must be able to drive/ride in an ambulance for extended periods
  • Physical agility to lift and move patients safely
  • Physically strenuous and may be emotionally challenging

Qualifications

  • Current CPR certification
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • ACLS (AHA) or ALS (American Red Cross) certification recommended — Paramedics and CCP only
  • Current state certification or a NREMT certification with ability to obtain reciprocity before start date
  • Self-confidence, emotional stability, good judgment, and tolerance for high stress
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle adverse situations effectively
