Join Pride Health as a part-time Phlebotomist II at Jefferson, MD! This is a 3 months contract role (with possible extension) offering a great opportunity for experience to excel in a dynamic environment.
Role: Phlebotomist II (part-time)
Location: Jefferson, MD 21755
Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Hours per Week: 25 hours
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Highlights: $19 - 21.50/hour (Based on years of experience)
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care & Specimen Collection
- Perform venipuncture, capillary, pediatric, and geriatric collections with confidence and accuracy.
- Verify patient identification and demographics; obtain patient signature post-collection.
- Prepare and process specimens according to established procedures.
- Maintain required records, logs, and documentation.
- Operations & Compliance
- Perform daily activities on time with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility & Support
- Travel to multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Provide coverage at Patient Service Centers or in-office phlebotomy sites with minimal notice.
- Work flexible hours as required, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call assignments.
- Adapt to changing business demands and embrace process improvements.
- Customer Service & Communication
- Deliver superior customer service by creating trust and confidence with patients.
- Communicate openly with peers, supervisors, and patients.
- Represent Quest Diagnostics positively to patients, clients, and the public.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
- Adhere to company policies, safety guidelines, and dress code.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and data accuracy.
- Demonstrate organizational commitment and professionalism.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience: Minimum 5 years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
Note: Local candidates within 30 miles are eligible.
*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credit.
