About The Position We are seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a 12-day locum tenens assignment in Maryland, starting Nov 26, 2025. This opportunity involves 24-hour or 12-hour call coverage, supporting a hospital-based team on a flexible monthly schedule. The assignment includes rounding with a physician assistant in the mornings and providing backup coverage for urgent or emergent surgical cases.

Job Details Location: Maryland Start Date: Nov 26, 2025 LOA: 12 days Provider Type Needed: Cardiothoracic Surgeon Schedule: 24-hour call (7am-7am) or 12-hour call (7am-7pm or 7pm-7am); coverage for one week or a long weekend each month; known dates include Nov 26–Nov 30, 2025, and Dec 26, 2025–Jan 5, 2026 EMR: Meditech EHR

Responsibilities and Duties Round with a physician assistant each morning Perform bypass surgery and other necessary cardiothoracic procedures as needed Respond to urgent or emergent surgical issues when contacted by the physician assistant Provide backup call coverage as part of a hospital team

Additional Information Board Certified or Board Eligible in cardiac or both cardiac and thoracic surgery required Maryland state license not required at time of application; candidates able to obtain a license will be considered Minimum 2 years of cardiothoracic surgery experience preferred
