About The Position Wellhart is seeking a board-certified Cardiologist for a 60-day locum tenens assignment at a multi-specialty clinic in Pennsylvania. The assignment begins on 12/01/2025, with a 24-hour call schedule from 8 am to 8 am the following day, including clinic hours from 8 am to 5 pm and off-site call from 5 pm to 8 am. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with inpatient rounding, consults, image reading, TEEs, and proctoring stress tests. This role requires expertise in managing cardiac emergencies, collaborating with a PA-C, and utilizing both Cerner and Epic EMR systems. The position offers a chance for extension and requires an active Pennsylvania medical license.

Job Responsibilities and Duties: • Provide inpatient rounding and consultations • Read and interpret cardiac imaging studies • Perform transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs) as needed • Proctor stress tests occasionally • Manage cardiac emergencies, including potential aortic dissections • Collaborate with a PA-C during morning rounds • Utilize Cerner and Epic EMR systems for patient documentation and care coordination • Provide off-site call coverage, managing most cases via phone • Triage and assess the need for in-person interventions during call hours • Occasionally cover call and clinic during the day on Fridays (8 am-5 pm) • Adapt to the workflow of a Trauma center • Stay current with the latest advancements in cardiology techniques and technologies
