About The Position JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: New Ulm, MN • Service Setting: Hospital – Critical Access • Coverage Type: Clinical + Call • Coverage Period: 12/08/2025 – Ongoing • Clinical Shift Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8:00a – 4:30p (Flexible) • On-Call Shift Schedule: 24-hour in-house call, primarily Fri 4:30p – Tue 8:00a • Call Type: In-House • Call Ratio: Flexible, depends on provider availability • Call Response Time: Immediate (in-house) • Callback Rate: Included in 24-hour call
COVERAGE DATES • 12/08/2025 – Ongoing • 1–2 weeks per month, ideally 2–5 shifts per block
PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Adults, Obstetric and Gynecologic patients • Patient Volume/Census: Low acuity, approximately 300–320 labors per year • Admissions: Yes • Rounding: Included • Phone Consults: Yes • Case Mix: Obstetrics, Gynecology, deliveries, C-sections, D&Cs, laparoscopic procedures, ectopics
FACILITY INFORMATION • No. of Beds in Department: Critical Access • Trauma Level: Adult Level IV • EMR System: Epic • Office Equipment Available: Standard hospital equipment • Specialty Backup Available: 24/7 General Surgery, Pediatrics, Tele-Neonatology • Support Staff Available: Yes (nursing, surgical, pediatrics) • Reason for Coverage: Supplemental/Ongoing Coverage
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Temporary Privileges Available: No • Credentialing Timeline: 60–90 days • Fingerprinting: Required, results typically within 48 hours before privileges granted

JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Active Minnesota license required • Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics/Gynecology • DEA: Required • Certifications: Not specified • Experience: Skilled and competent in OBGYN surgical and clinical procedures • Other Qualifications: Proficiency with Epic EMR
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide clinic coverage Mon – Fri, 8:00a – 4:30p • Provide 24-hour in-house call coverage, with emphasis on weekends • Perform deliveries, cesarean sections, and gynecological procedures • Manage admissions, rounding, and phone consults as required • Collaborate with support staff, general surgery, pediatrics, and tele-neonatology • Maintain compliance with credentialing, privileging, and hospital policies
