Unit Specifics: · Number of Beds : 20 LDRPs, 5 OB assessment beds · Patient Ratios : 1: 3-4 couplets, 1:1 for all active labors, VBACs, Laboring Magnesium sulfate, Laboring Insulin. 1:1-2 for triage, early labor/cervical ripening. · Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : Unit secretary m-f, PCT m-f 0300-1130 OB Scrub tech 24/7. · Type of equipment : CPN and Meditech · Floating policy: Bedside shift report every shift, every time.
Hospital Specifics- · Certifications: BLS, NRP, Stable, Awhonn Intermediate fetal monitoring
2 years Labor and Delivery experience, Intermediate fetal monitoring ~ ACLS, BLS, NRP, Stable, Awhonn Intermediate fetal monitoring
Couplet care, circulating in OR
Procedures performed on unit: Vaginal deliveries, versions, C/S, epidurals, postpartum tubals, cerclage removal, circumcisions
