Overview
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an IBD-trained Gastroenterologist for employment in New Brunswick, NJ. The organization is the largest integrated healthcare system in New Jersey and is currently seeking a Board-Eligible/Board-Certified Gastroenterologist for a full-time role as an Inflammatory Bowel Disease Specialist at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center New Brunswick. New staff will obtain a faculty position at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, as well as with the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. The Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology is home to an academic inflammatory bowel disease center as well as the Rutgers Crohn’s and Colitis Center of New Jersey. The Inflammatory Bowel Disease Specialist will also participate in the PGY7 Advanced IBD Training Program and the ACGME GI Fellowship Training Program, with protected time for teaching, research, program building and other academic activities. A monthly Multidisciplinary IBD Clinical Pathologic Conference is held, and there is an opportunity to help build a growing multidisciplinary IBD clinic jointly with RWJMS Department of Colorectal Surgery with a new space opening in 2023. Clinical duties and endoscopy responsibilities in a busy practice that serves referrals from across New Jersey. Strong academic component with teaching opportunities and chances to engage in clinical trials and research. Collaborate in a multidisciplinary IBD clinic development with the RWJMS Department of Colorectal Surgery. Participate in a program that supports teaching, research and academic activities. Qualifications
BC/BE in Gastroenterology. Experience in inflammatory disease/training at a major inflammatory disease treatment center with focus on Inflammatory Bowel Disease. New Jersey license or eligible for NJ licensure. Ambitious and looking for growth opportunities. Excited to work in a primarily research-oriented role.
