Overview

Associate or Professor of Clinical Neurology (Division Chief of Neurology at CHLA). The Division Chief reports to the Chair of the Department of Pediatrics and works closely with the other Division Chiefs. CHLA and the Keck School of Medicine of USC seek to recruit an internationally recognized physician leader to serve as Chief for the Division of Pediatric Neurology, a division ranked on the national lists of children’s hospitals. The Division Chief will oversee the clinical, research, and educational activities of the Division, lead recruiting efforts, and ensure career mentoring for Division faculty and fellows. Responsibilities

Oversee clinical, research, and educational activities of the Division. Lead recruiting efforts and ensure career mentoring for Division faculty and fellows. Support a diverse patient population through CHLA, including inpatient and outpatient services, and participate in program development across CHLA Ambulatory Care Centers. Collaborate with the Neurological Institute and other hospital divisions to provide multidisciplinary care and advanced treatments. Engage in leadership activities related to program development, funding, and strategic planning in pediatrics and neurology. Qualifications

MD, DO, or MD/PhD or comparable degree; board-certified in Neurology with special qualification in Child Neurology. Qualified for appointment at the level of Associate Professor or Full Professor at USC/CHLA. Outstanding qualifications in clinical care, education, and research. About CHLA and USC

The Division Chief will work within CHLA, affiliated with the Keck School of Medicine of USC since 1932. CHLA serves a diverse patient population of approximately 2.5 million children in Los Angeles County and is a major referral center for critically ill infants and children in Southern California. The Neurological Institute provides multidisciplinary services in collaboration with other hospital divisions, including a large brain tumor program and advanced treatments for epilepsy and movement disorders. The annual base salary range for this position is 318,094–354,471.
