Overview
Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Providence Little Company of Mary Torrance in Torrance, CA. This position is Full Time and will work 80-hour, Day shifts.

The nuclear Medicine technologist provides health care services using radionuclides to assist in diagnosis and treatment. He/she has the advanced skills to perform a wide variety of nuclear medicine procedures, computer processing of data and other technical tasks necessary to produce images for the interpretation by, and at the request of a licensed practitioner. He/she exercises professional judgment in the performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics while providing appropriate care essential for successful completion of procedures.

Responsibilities The role involves providing nuclear medicine imaging and related services under licensed supervision, performing a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures, processing data, and performing technical tasks necessary to produce diagnostic images for interpretation.
Qualifications
Coursework/Training: Completion of an AMA approved radiologic technologist training program.
Upon hire: National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or
Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology
Upon hire: California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification
Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
6 months experience during the last year, or a minimum of 2 years full-time experience with an absence from nuclear medicine of no more than 1 year.
Preferred Qualifications: 1 year experience in nuclear medicine (not required if recent graduate from an approved technician training program).
