Corporate Security Officer (FTE, 6am-2pm) for Scottsdale, AZ campus. We are looking for a proactive and professional Security Officers to help safeguard assets, personnel, customers, and visitors. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with a diverse range of individuals. This role includes composing detailed written reports and other necessary documentation. Work Schedule : 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with Wednesday & Thursday off. Compensation Grade D3. #LI-KR1 (note: this line removed in final description) Responsibilities

Greets all persons entering or calling the office buildings and provides requested information. Enforces company security and life safety policies. Responds to emergency situations and assists with emergency procedures; may direct public safety officials. Events include workplace violence, locked-in situations, accidents, fires, medical emergencies, crimes in progress, alarm notifications, etc. Patrols the buildings to provide physical security and safety protection; responds to radio calls to investigate alarms and emergencies; may patrol on bike, foot, or in car. Writes initial loss/stolen or incident reports for claims; conducts follow-up investigations and preserves evidence; assists management with investigations and, when needed, testifies in court and prepares court reports. Maintains facilities access control via card key system; secures facilities at end of shift and manages access controls, creates access cards, and generates system reports. Provides escorts to and from facilities for associates. Assists with regular facility inspections of fire extinguishers, standpipe systems, public address systems, elevators and fire alarm systems. With proper approval, may carry a firearm on duty; will qualify annually; may intervene in situations presenting imminent risk of harm to associates or customers; may be required to obtain a concealed carry permit depending on assignment. May assist with on-the-job training of new security associates and provide security awareness and training to the associate population. Performs courier service to financial institutions for Nationwide Companies. Monitors electronic protection systems (alarms, CCTV, access control, fire, elevator, intercom) and other systems; dispatches personnel to alarm conditions; maintains databases and provides reports. Monitors alarm systems nationwide, maintains/troubleshoots hardware systems, and manages software/databases; directs vendors during installs and trains end users as needed. May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications

Reports to Security Supervisor. This is an individual contributor role. Typical Skills and Experiences: Education:

High school degree required. Bachelor or technical school degree preferred. Experience:

One or more years of related security experience. Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Knowledge of corporate safety and security practices, procedures, equipment, firearm, and console operation. Ability to learn firearm use (annual qualification) and safety equipment. Proficiency with personal computers, and strong verbal and written communication. Ability to exercise good judgment, de-escalate, and provide calm and rational direction. Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences, may take precedence. The standard workday is eight hours, including a paid lunch period. The employee is required to work the specific shift designated at time of hire (first, second, or third shift). Must be in good physical condition with ability to walk, run, stoop, kneel, carry and lift; available after standard hours, weekends and holidays for emergencies or events as needed. ADA:
