Position Principal Pricing Analyst / Sr Pricing Analyst (Levels 3/4)
– Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Pricing Analyst (level 3 or 4) to support the CWI Division and Global C2 Solutions BU. This position will be a leader in the proposal process for a growing portfolio of programs including both sole source and competitive proposals.
Responsibilities This position is responsible for working with multiple functional areas (program, business management, business development, capture) to interpret and respond to requests for proposals, ROMs, P&As, and other requests for pricing or proposals.
This role requires comprehensive knowledge of FAR/DFAR compliance, NG Estimating System compliance, competitive proposal pricing strategies, negotiation support, and strong analytical skills.
Additional skills that contribute to success include strong computer skills (Excel pivot tables and formulas, PowerPoint), leadership and communication abilities, attention to detail, organizational skills, knowledge of ProPricer software, risk assessment skills, and general business acumen.
Typical activities include leading proposal teams through the process of understanding RFP requirements, developing estimates for labor/material/subcontractors/travel/ODCs, ensuring global supply chain compliance with vendors and subcontractors, evaluating BOEs for logic and compliance, and developing final submission artifacts such as cost volume and supporting documentation. Activities also include supporting approval processes with senior leadership, presenting to various levels of leadership, evaluating risk posture and the business deal, supporting negotiations, responding to customer and DCAA RFIs, and supporting the program through award and certification. Throughout these processes there is focus on compliance (FAR/DFAR, NG Estimating System, RFP compliance) to ensure the overall health and approval status of our Estimating System.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications for a Sr. Principal Pricing Analyst (Level 4):
Bachelor’s with 8 years of related experience; 6 years with Masters; 4 years with PhD; or in lieu of a degree 12 years of relevant experience
Extensive experience in pricing, finance, contracts, business and/or business operations
Ability to prioritize effectively and complete work timely in a deadline-driven environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, with strong emphasis on Microsoft Excel
Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Secret clearance
Basic Qualifications for a Principal Pricing Analyst (Level 3):
Bachelor’s with 5 years of related experience; 3 years with Masters; 1 year with PhD; or in lieu of a degree 9 years of relevant experience
Extensive experience in pricing, finance, contracts, business and/or business operations
Ability to prioritize effectively and complete work timely in a deadline-driven environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, with strong emphasis on Microsoft Excel
Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Secret clearance
Compensation and Benefits Primary Level Salary Range: $78,700.00 - $136,800.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,100.00 - $170,300.00
The above salary ranges are general guidelines; actual offers consider position scope, candidate experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Depending on the position, overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses may apply. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and company performance. Senior leadership roles may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
