This role :
Debt Capital Markets, Associate Vice President
based in one of our Northmarq East Coast offices, with preferred locations including West Palm Beach, Atlanta, or New York City. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of direct experience in commercial real estate finance, investment banking, or debt capital markets, with a strong foundation in financial analysis, transaction execution, and client communication. The role offers the opportunity to work on complex real estate transactions, including debt placement, structured finance, and advisory services across various asset classes. Responsibilities
Support senior team members in the origination, structuring, underwriting, and execution of debt transactions for commercial real estate assets, including evaluating new opportunities and interacting directly with sponsors, borrowers, lenders, and internal business lines. Prepare and analyze financial models, including cash flow projections, debt sizing, sensitivity analyses, and valuations based on historical financials, borrower models, and market standards. Draft and refine investment memoranda, lender packages, and client presentations with clarity and professionalism. Conduct market research and track capital markets trends, lender activity, and real estate fundamentals. Coordinate with lenders, borrowers, legal counsel, and internal stakeholders throughout the transaction process, assisting with due diligence and documentation. Maintain and update CRM systems, pipeline reports, and transaction databases to ensure accurate tracking and reporting. What we are looking for
Minimum of 4 years of direct experience
in Commercial Real Estate Finance, investment banking, or debt capital markets is required Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, accounting, or a related business field is required; a master’s degree and/or advanced professional certifications is a plus. Advanced proficiency in MS Office (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint) required; Argus and Salesforce experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, underwriting, and transaction execution, with strong command of valuation methodologies and ability to distill complex analyses into clear investment theses. Proficient in cash flow analysis (NOI, DSC, ROC, IRR). Exceptional ability to manage multiple assignments while communicating clearly and effectively, with proven strength in presenting financial insights, investment strategies, and transaction rationales persuasively to senior leadership and external partners.
