Description Admitting Representative for the Emergency Department at Providence Portland Medical Center, in Portland, OR Per Diem/On Call - Variable One Revenue Cycle (ORC) is the name adopted to reflect the Providence employees who work throughout Providence Health & Services (PH&S) in revenue cycle systems and structures in support of our ministries and operations in all regions from Alaska to California. ORC's objective is to ensure our core strategy, One Ministry Committed to Excellence, is delivered along with the enhanced overall patient care experience (know me, care for me, ease my way) by providing a robust foundation of services, operational and technical support, and the sharing of comprehensive, relevant, and highly specialized revenue cycle expertise.
The Registrar is responsible for securing appropriate patient account reimbursement by obtaining complex demographic, insurance and medical information and ensuring this is documented timely and accurately. The incumbent performs all duties in a manner that promotes the Providence mission, values, and philosophy. Responsibilities
Obtain complex demographic, insurance and medical information to ensure accurate patient accounts. Document information timely to support appropriate patient account reimbursement. Adhere to Providence mission, values, and philosophy in all duties. Act as a role model for organizational values and mission.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration. National Certification of CHAA upon hire. 3 years of experience in Patient Access or Business Office setting; experience with insurance eligibility systems. 3 years of medical terminology usage; knowledge of medical billing codes. 1 year knowledge of Epic applications.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
