Position Summary
The Corporate Communications Manager will shape and deliver the company’s narrative across internal and external audiences—employees, media, investors, and the public. This strategic communicator will lead integrated communications to strengthen the company’s brand, culture, and reputation in alignment with corporate goals. The role requires excellent communications skills, strategic vision, and tactical execution to develop and deliver a wide range of communications. The Manager will collaborate with stakeholders across the enterprise and with external parties to achieve communications objectives and to build an internal communications operating system and strategy for the Company. Responsibilities
Partner across the Company to build a communications strategy to support company-wide goals and build positive awareness with internal and external stakeholders. Partner with leaders on employee communication programs to craft the communication strategy for company strategies and initiatives, and organizational transformation. Lead planning and content creation for announcements, executive messaging, newsletters, and town halls. Partner with the VP of IR to support media relations and proactively manage company reputation in the press; draft and distribute press releases and talking points. Partner with Investor Relations and Legal on earnings communications, SEC-related announcements, and public disclosures. Oversee consistent messaging across digital and social channels; collaborate with marketing and brand teams to align messaging. Design and deploy a communications operating system in partnership with Segment brands to ensure role clarity and support of business outcomes, partnering with functions/departments across the enterprise (e.g., AMS, EHS, HR, Legal, IT). Oversee and develop content calendar and approvals in support of the communication plan, with schedule/timeline, cadence, objectives, and channels defined. Create engaging content for internal communications across channels such as newsletters, presentations, posters, videos, leadership communications, and broad emails. Gather content from around the Company, write and/or edit content to share news and updates. Assist and support executive communications (keynote addresses/presentations, speeches) and provide communications support for crisis management and change management. Recommend and manage third party vendors to support Apogee’s communications programs. Maintain Apogee brand and graphic standards
Maintain brand and graphic standards with supporting tools and templates to ensure a consistent, professional image for all materials. Partner with Segment resources to influence, support, and ensure communications represent the Apogee and the individual brands/segments when appropriate. Ensure visual brand consistency. Oversee brand and digital assets for proper standards, process, governance, and trademark/registrations; defines the brand voice reflecting the company’s values, tone, and positioning. Education & Qualifications
Four-year degree in marketing, public relations, communications, journalism, or related field. Minimum of eight years of experience in corporate communications, with experience managing a communications strategy. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with graphic design tools (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and HTML. Experience developing PowerPoint presentations. Experience using communication channels, technologies, and third-party vendors, including websites, social media, video, and print media. Demonstrated creativity in developing engaging materials. Excellent organizational and project management skills; ability to meet deadlines. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and own projects. Strong attention to detail, quality, and accuracy. Curiosity and a passion for learning; ability to understand the company, its industry, and customers. Able to work across all levels of the organization, including with senior leaders. Organizational change management experience preferred. Travel Requirements
