Houston Methodist Foundation – Campaign: Foundation Program Manager – Campaign is responsible for supporting the Campaign Director with projects and programs related to the comprehensive campaign. Under the direction of the Campaign Director, this role will track detailed project plans including benchmarks, milestones, deliverables, goals, and key stakeholders; schedule meetings; and create presentations and other collateral in support of the campaign plan. The position will collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including campaign volunteer leadership, donors, executives, physicians, and HM staff to support the Foundation’s mission, goals, and objectives. Prior experience with complex fundraising initiatives or strategic planning is preferred.

Overview The Foundation Program Manager – Campaign, in partnership with Campaign Director and Foundation leadership, assists with design and execution of strategies and programs essential to donor and patient engagement and communications. The role tracks program effectiveness, identifies trends, recommends goals, implements strategies, and ensures quality so the program meets organization metrics.

Responsibilities

Contribute to engagement and department culture; support improvement of employee engagement scores.

Lead program meetings, contribute to decisions, and identify next steps; work creatively and analytically in a collaborative environment.

Lead projects, coordinate with stakeholders, ensure timelines, deliverables, and budgets are met; serve as a primary resource/subject matter expert to Foundation staff.

Provide timely guidance and feedback to strengthen knowledge and skills; mentor junior staff.

Communicate project initiatives, timelines, and change management activities.

Evaluate program implementation and effectiveness; monitor progress, identify corrective actions, and provide decision-support for strategic decisions.

Collaborate across Foundation to support donor engagement and fundraising initiatives; coordinate dissemination of progress reports and materials to stakeholders and donors as applicable.

Participate in internal committees and task forces; ensure action items are delegated and completed.

Analyze performance metrics; establish methods to track success and gather feedback for future reference.

Identify process improvements and optimize donor and department workflows; apply lean principles as appropriate.

Ensure high-quality, accurate philanthropic communications are consistent across materials and initiatives.

Manage program scope, schedule, and budget; monitor year-to-year trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Support fundraising opportunities and ensure timely financial processes, including invoicing and budget adherence.

Proactively problem-solve, maintain development plans, and pursue opportunities to strengthen fundraising knowledge.

Develop understanding of healthcare fundraising and assess needs, trends, and opportunities related to department goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.

Three years of experience in development, communications, media relations, marketing, or related field; two years in project management, coordination, or event planning (HM employees with four years of progressive responsibilities may be considered).

Experience in healthcare fundraising/development preferred; experience working with institutional leadership and staff.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: strong communication, planning, and project management; ability to manage multiple projects; strong leadership, facilitation, and presentation skills; ability to evaluate issues and performance metrics; ability to manage relationships across all organizational levels; independent initiative and attention to detail; customer-service orientation; familiarity with AP style guidelines is a plus.

Experience with fundraising campaigns or fund development preferred.

WORK ATTIRE: Business professional

ON-CALL: On-call may be required during emergencies as needed

TRAVEL: Travel within the Houston Metropolitan area may be required; some roles may require travel outside the area
