Bridge Designer / Senior Bridge Designer
Location: Albuquerque, NM Department: Transportation Base pay range: $80,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr Compensation: $80,000 - $130,000 / year Description: Unmatched Comp Time Policy: Hours worked over 40 in a week can be reimbursed as additional pay at an equivalent hourly rate or banked as additional PTO for exempt staff. Responsibilities
Leading the design for large, multi-structure transportation projects Be enthusiastic, dedicated, and self-disciplined to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Prioritize work to meet various project requests and deadlines, answering to various engineers and project managers Develop designs in Power InRoads, OpenRoads Designer, or AutoCAD Civil3D Produce accurate output with a keen eye for aesthetics Manage project data files from various sources Be proactive and responsive in effectively communicating with colleagues and clients, both in-person and virtually/remotely Training and mentorship of junior CAD staff Manage workspaces and develop plan sets in ORD, including sheet creation and plan set development Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies
10+ years of relevant bridge design experience Associates degree or equivalent technical degree Knowledge of state DOT standards is a plus, but not required Be familiar with Power InRoads, OpenRoads Designer, or AutoCAD Civil3D Ability to read and interpret construction drawings; ability to think 3-dimensionally Must be able to work independently with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks, with competing priorities Be a professional, creative, team-focused individual who works well with others in a team environment Mentoring skills and leadership mindset Why would a candidate want this job?
